The article I read was about Barbara Jordan and how she was born in Texas to Benjamin and Arlyne Jordan. She graduated from Wheatly High and went on to graduate from Texas Southern University. She ran for a seat in the Texas House Of Representatives. But made history for the first black women when she was elected to the Texas senate. In 1986 she was against the Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork.

How was this website help full to your research?
It was helpful because it didn’t give me the stuff all the other websites gave me it gave me more info on why she was important to history.

Was it primary or sencondary?
It was a secondary source because it is a website.

Who was the intended audience?
The intended audience was historian and people that study politics.

Background and author of the website?

The author was Beejae and she had given background information on Barbra Jordan because she looked up to her.

Barbara Jordan

i chose Barbara Jordan becasue im really dont know much about her and she sound like a good person to pick. Also her time period was in the 60's so there was alot of racial tention going around.Barbara Jordan was important in history because she was the first black woman to serve in the Texas senate in 1966. Without her we would not have black women on the senate today.

Election 2008-Abortion

Barack Obama believes that abortion should be a woman's decision because its up to them how many kids they want to have and when they wanna have them. He says that its not a fair issue of choice but as women we should have rights. He also thinks that this decision should be made with the doctors and families by their side.

John McCain's outlook on this issue is that he thinks if you were raped,a part of incest or there is another reason why you have to get an abortion the ban should be a exception but other than than that he thinks it should be outlawed. He also thinks that doctors who do procedures for abortion should be prosecuted, he says he wouldn't prosecute the got the abortion.

My outlook on this issue is that its a woman's decision. We all should be able to make our decision when every we need to. Imagine that you were a woman that just found out your pregnant and you didn't want the baby. what would you do. I believe in Obama 100% and would defiantly vote for him.
