The article I read was about Barbara Jordan and how she was born in Texas to Benjamin and Arlyne Jordan. She graduated from Wheatly High and went on to graduate from Texas Southern University. She ran for a seat in the Texas House Of Representatives. But made history for the first black women when she was elected to the Texas senate. In 1986 she was against the Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork.

It was helpful because it didn’t give me the stuff all the other websites gave me it gave me more info on why she was important to history.

The author was Beejae and she had given background information on Barbra Jordan because she looked up to her.
