Song Paragraph.

There this one song song that really catches my attention when i think about sound, images, and new perspective. The two artist are Ludachris and Mary J. Bilge. And the song is called "Runaway Love".It tells the stories of 3 different little girls.

Runaway Love has alot of sound in it.First there is repetition. In the chorus it just keeps on saying "Runaway Love".Also in the beginning of each verse he says the name of the girl and how old she is. Then Ludachris say"their trying to figure out why the world is so cold".Lastly at the end of each verse he always says"nothing else to do but get some clothes and pack, she says she about to runaway and never come back".Second "Runaway Love" also has alot of rhyme. In the second verse Ludachris says"Bleeding on the inside crying on the out, these is only one girl that really knows what she's about". Also in the third verse it say"Emotions run deep and she thinks she's in love so there's no protection he using no glove". Lastly at the end of the third verse Ludachris says "Knowing her mama will blow it all out of proportion, cause she lives poor so money for abortion". These are just some of the things that represent sound in the song "Runaway Love".

The second things that "Runaway Love" has is good images. Good images apply to touch, see, hear, smell, taste and touch. But i am only going to talk about two.First when you can picture the little girl Lisa's mom getting high in the kitchen. Also when Nicole's friend gets shot on her block, you can picture a bullet hitting her. Next is you can see Erica's stomach getting bigger because she is pregnant. Second is hearing. In the beginning of verse one its say" staring with some laughs usually ending in a fight". You can hear the laughing then the fighting. You can also Nicole crying from all the pain her father his brought her. Also when her friend gets shot you can hear the noise the gun makes. These are just some of the things that represent images.

The last category is new perspective.I'm am going to tell the new perspective of each verse.
The first verse changes the perspective of a 9 year old little girl. In this verse Lisa has a mom that is on drugs and she brings different men in and out the house and some of the sexually touch Lisa.It changes the perspective of a 9 year old because most 9year old are focused on dolls and toys. The second verse is about a 10year old girl and how he father is a alcoholic and he beats on her. Then she finally finds a friend that she can relate to and then she gets shot. It changes the perspective of a 10 year old. Normally when your 10 you don't normally have to go though things like this. The third verse talks about a 11 year old girl who is having sex and accidentally gets pregnant and she has no money for abortion. Most 11 year old are probably having a crush on some boy or having their first kiss not thinking about sex.

As you can see the song "Runaway Love" applys to sound, images and new perspective very well.
For sound it had repetition and rhyme. And for images it had sight and sound. Lastly was new perspective and a give a new perspective for each girl and her story.I hope after you read my essay, you might want to listen to "Runaway Love".

Mini-Research Paper

I asked a question to all my peers and the question was who is better 50 Cent or The Game and why.I spilt up my result in to 3 different categories. One category is Best lyrics. My friend Alex said he" The Game because his lyrics flow better".But Samairah said"50Cent because his lyrics are more better and real".The second category was best rapper in general. Mary said"50 Cent is the best rapper because he has been out longer and his songs are better". But Fred Stated that"50 Cent has been out longer and his songs attract more people".The last category was who's more real.Samairah's answer was "50 cent is way more real because he has had more life experiences to make him more real." Shavon stated that "50 Cent is more real because his songs talk about most of his life experiences. So as you can see more people like 50Cent better than The Game.

Reflection's on Barack Obama's win

On Nov.4.08 Barack Obama was marked down the first black man to become president of the United States. This win has shocked us because who ever thought in a million years that we would be in this predicimaent right now. This win has had a huge impact on me.First because I am apart of history.I can now tell my grandchildern and others that i was there i experinced seeing something no one ever thought we see. Also because our ancestor never got to see this day,but i know right now in heven their jumping for joy. Secondly because some people always tell us kids that we can be anything we want to if we put our mind to it.But Barack Obama has showed up that it is possible, that we can achive it. Also because as Dr.King said all of us should be able to come togethe no matter what race we are and thats what we did.I am so honored to be able to see this wonderful moment, it has inspired me to achive my dreams and to let me see that hardwork pays off.

Rough Draft 4 NHD.

The person i choose for my NHD project was a very indefaticable person and her name was Barbara Jordan.I picked her because i really didn't know anything about her. Also because i thought she would be an interesting person. Barbara Charline Jordan was born on February 21.1936 in Huston,Texas to the late Benjamin and Arlyne Jordan. She attended Wheatly high school and went on to graduate from Texas Southern University. Shortly after that she became a lawyer. She then ran for a seat in the House of Representatives but lost in 1962. Then she became an advocate to help the voting rights in 1965. She was elected to serve in the Texas Senate and became the first black senator since 1883. In 1972 she served as governor for a day and then became the first black woman to head the state and the first black woman to serve in the House of Representatives for the Texas Senate. She later makes a shocking discovery in 1973 that she has an illness call multiple sclerosis that will eventually confine her to a wheelchair. She leaves congress and later began teaching public affairs in the L.B.Johnson School. But sadly in 1996 her illness took control of her and she pasted on January 21 in Alston, Texas. Barbara Jordan had alot of influences in her life to help her with the legacy she leaves us today. Her father, grandfather and her mother were the people who influenced her the most because she said her mother was the "most eloquent and articulate person she ever heard".She said her father influenced her because he was a preacher. Her grandfather influenced her by telling her thatshe "she could do anything if she put her mind to it.

The historical problem was that in this time in history it was hard for black woman to establish themselves in government. Barbara Jordan contributed to the problem of having no black women in the House of Representative because she was a lawyer but after she ran for the House Of Reps for the first time she lost in 1962. She wanted to still show everyone that it is possible for us black women to be in government. She motivated others to push forward and achieve their dreams. The group The Orange Jackets were very influenced by Barbara Jordan because she had a lasting impact on them. She not only influenced them them but influenced the student from her LBJ School were she taught at. Some important dates are when she made her key note address at the Democratic Convention in 1976. Also when she became the first black woman to serve in the House of Representatives in 1972. Some of the talents she used was her talent as and orator and her incredible speaking ability.Because of her leadership black women can now achieve their dreams to become a part of government and how their hard work has paid off.
Barbara Jordan connects to the National History Day Theme"The Individual in History:Actions and Legacies because of her action, alot of black when sit in the House of Representatives today. And because of her legacy people can look back centuries from now and remember her and her big impact on history. We as people throughout the world should care about her because of want she did in the past that helped our future. The legacies she leaves us to this day is her indefatiable attitude and how she paved the way for all people but especially women of color seek a position in the House of Representatives. One of the events that was large was in 1979 when she was the first African American and woman to deliver a key note address at the Democratic Convention. There was many more thing she did to contribute to the Nhd Theme but she these are just a couple of reason. Her legacies and her life itself still lives on today.

5 Paragraph Essay{Rough Copy}

The book Animal Farm is a very interesting and funny book. The author was a man named George Orwell. The book was published in 1945. The overall meaning of the book is the more you believe in stories blindly you might not survive. In Animal Farm the way the characters respond to the stories has a strong connection to their ability to survive.

Squealer is one of the many characters in the story who masters the stories.First when the pigs slept in the bed.Squealer had convinced them that wasn't the case instead he said"the pigs should have an equal place to work in".He also put the matter in a different perspective by telling the other animals that they could sleep in the bed without sheets.Second when Boxer had died.Squealer had lied and said that he dies a nice peaceful death. But really they took him somewhere and turned him in to glue. Finally one last story he mastered was the windmill story. He told the other animals that he never opposed the windmill idea.He also went along with Napoleon saying that Snowball knocked down the windmill.Squealers fate was that he survives but starts to act and dress like a human.

One of the characters that gets mastered by the story is Boxer.First because Boxer was behind Napoleon no matter what he did. When they were talking about how the Battle of the Cowshed and how didn't want Mr.Jones back. When Boxer thought it over he said if Napoleon says its he must be right,"Napoleon is always right".He always thought that since Napoleon said it was Snowball knocked down the windmill he went with Napoleon and said he did it.He also thought the windmill idea was Napoleon's idea all along.Lastly another reason why Boxer got mastered by the story was because listens and absorbed very thing he heard. When the pigs slept in the bed Boxer said once again said "Napoleon's always right".Also when he listened to Squealer about the bed rules. And how never steps up to the plate when they were talking about the beds instead he just absorbs it like noting happen.Boxer fate is he dies because the made him into glue also because her was dying of old age.

One last character that doesn't really get mastered by the story is Benjamin.First when the animals were debating the windmill.Benjamin never really took the side of Snowball or Napoleon. Also when Benjamin said"windmill or no windmill life would still go on which is badly".And also when every agreed with Napoleon that Snowball knocked down the windmill he was the only one who didn't say anything.Second when the commandment got twisted up by Squealer.Benjamin never said the sleeping in the bed with sheet was the real commandment or not. Also he never really disagreed to Squealers response to what he said about the pigs sleeping in the bed.Lastly because of Boxer death. He was one of the animals that could read he never got mastered in what Squealer had said about him dieing peacefully. Also when Napoleon told the so called hospital to come get Boxer Benjamin never was really fond of the whole idea.

When the characters respond to the stories it shows a big part of their ability to survive. Squealer was the one who told the stories that were mostly lies.Boxer was the animal that believed everything. And Benjamin was the one who didn't get mastered at all. I think that this connects to the real world because there is always people telling the lies. There are people that are dumb enough to believe the lies. And some people who just don't care and don't get caught up in lies.

Animal Farm Paragraph

In the story Animal Farm Napoleon lies to the other animals. One reason that Napoleon lies to the other animals is because he wants to be powerful. He does this because in the story he says"the windmill idea was nonsense and to everyone not to vote for it".Which means that he only took the idea from Snowball to be powerful. Also because he wanted to have the the same powerful and respect that Snowball had from the other animals. Another reason why Napoleon lies to the other animals is that he wants to make Snowball look like a bad person. He does this by blaming Snowball for knocking down the windmill. And because Napoleon wants to make Snowball look bad by taking his idea.Last Napoleon lies to the other animals because he get to full of himself because they call him a leader. Since he is the leader he thinks that he can do what he pleases. Also because after Snowball's explosion he thought making the "windmill idea his" after Snowball left would help him be more like a leader and he would reach out to the animals more.In the story Animal Farm Napoleon had alot of pretext lies that he told the other animals.

Most Dangerous Game Paragraph

In the story "The Most Dangerous Game" I think that Rainford has changed since the beginning of the story. In the beginning of the story Rainsford is for liberty. He is for liberty because in the story he says "who cares how a jaguar feels".Also he is a little selfcentered he didnt have a care in the world about anyone felt. And he never stops to think about what he does and how it effect people and animals.Towards the end of the story he is for equalty. He is fo equalty because he says "he he knows how the animal at bay feels". Also because in the game between Rainford and Zaroff he thinks that it should have been played fair even though he came out the winner which means that he was equal.Last he begins to care about the animals so he doesnt kill them. These are my reasons why i think that Rainford has changed since the beginning of the story.

The author was Beejae and she had given background information on Barbra Jordan because she looked up to her.

Barbara Jordan

i chose Barbara Jordan becasue im really dont know much about her and she sound like a good person to pick. Also her time period was in the 60's so there was alot of racial tention going around.Barbara Jordan was important in history because she was the first black woman to serve in the Texas senate in 1966. Without her we would not have black women on the senate today.

Election 2008-Abortion

Barack Obama believes that abortion should be a woman's decision because its up to them how many kids they want to have and when they wanna have them. He says that its not a fair issue of choice but as women we should have rights. He also thinks that this decision should be made with the doctors and families by their side.

John McCain's outlook on this issue is that he thinks if you were raped,a part of incest or there is another reason why you have to get an abortion the ban should be a exception but other than than that he thinks it should be outlawed. He also thinks that doctors who do procedures for abortion should be prosecuted, he says he wouldn't prosecute the got the abortion.

My outlook on this issue is that its a woman's decision. We all should be able to make our decision when every we need to. Imagine that you were a woman that just found out your pregnant and you didn't want the baby. what would you do. I believe in Obama 100% and would defiantly vote for him.
